October Dussehra Festival "Kullu"
Dussehra is a popular festival celebrated by Hindus all over India, albeit with different names.It is also known as Vijayadashmi ('Vijay' meaning 'victory' and 'Dashmi meaning 'tenth day) as it is believed that it was on this day that Lord Rama killed the demon-king,Ravana and won over Lanka, his kingdom.
January Winter Carnival "Manali"
Winter carnival is the most awaited event in the valley. This gay festival has been declare a state level festival. The annual winter carnival begins in Manali from January 11 to 16. Festival was kicked off on Wednesday and will run until Monday.
Feb. / March Losar (Tibetan New Year)
McLeodganj
The celebration of Losar can be traced back to the pre-Buddhist period in Tibet. The festival is said to have begun when an old woman named Belma introduced the measurement of time based on the phases of the moon.

March Nalwari Fair"Bilaspur"
Nalwari Cattle Fair is a five-day event organized in March and April at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh. Cattle and other livestock are brought from Nalagarh and the neighboring state of Punjab for trade. Nalwari Cattle Fair is a major event in Bilaspur District and wrestling competitions and other cultural activities compliment the event.
Feb. / March Navratras Fair
Himachal Pradesh abounding in the panoramic rhapsodies of natural and cultural splendor is also opulent in fairs and festivities. Among the noteworthy festivals, the grand celebrations of the Chaitra Navratra Fair hold a special place in the chronicles of the state’s festive history.
May Dhungri Mela "Manali"
Hadimba Temple in Manali or Dhungiri temple in Manali is one of the most important temples in the region. This four story wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar. From the name of the forest parkland this temple derives its name. This temple was erected in 1553 and is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba.

July / Aug Minjar Fair "Chamba"
Minjar is the most popular fair of Chamba which is attended by a large number of people from every nook and corner of the district. Minjar Fair is held on the second Sunday of Shravan month. The start of fair is announced by distribution of Minjar which is a silk tassel worn on front parts of the dress by men and women alike.

November Lavi Fair "Rampur"
Lavi Fair is held amidst a great deal of fanfare in Himachal Pradesh. Rampur had once been a very important commercial center. Its popularity dwindled with the passage of time. However from the time it became the venue of the Lavi Fair, it regained its former status.
November Renuka Fair "Renuka"
On your travel vacations to Renuka wildlife sanctuary, enjoy the Renuka Fair celebrations. This colourful Renuka Fair is held for three days in the first fortnight of November. On the first day the idol of Parashurama is taken in a decorated silver palanquin from the Jamu village to the banks of the Giri River. The other local deities reach the spot before he does, and then together they go to the site of the fair (with Parashurama leading the jing-bang, of course). and then festivities continue.
