Hadsar
is a picturesque village which lies
at an altitude of around 2,280 m in
the western corner of Himachal Pradesh.
Budhil River, a major tributary of
the River Ravi, flows through this
village. Surrounded by forests of deodar,
spruce and silver birch, Hadsar offers
magnificent views of Manimahesh Kailash
Peak. Kugti, Duggi Caves, Chamba, Dancho,
Bharmaur, Mcleodganj, Dharamsala and
Holi are located nearby. Accommodation
facilities are available at Chamba
and Bharmaur.
Hadsar has special significance
from several points of view. It is
the roadhead, 13 kms from the ancient
capital of Chamba state at Brahmaur,
on the annual route of the Gaddi shepherds.
It is also the starting point for the
yatra to Manimahesh Lake and Manimahesh
Kailash.
