Hattu Peak : Hattu
Peak is positioned at a distance of 8 km
from Narkanda in Himachal Pradesh. Located
at an altitude of 3,300 m, this peak offers
a panoramic view of the dense forests and
the entire Himalayan range. The ancient
temple of Hatto Mata, which is associated
with Pandava’s Vana Prastha, is sited
on the top this peak. Nearby tourist spots
are Thanedar, Kotgarh, Khadrala, Beghi

Thanedar : Thanedar,
at a height of 7,250 ft, is famed as
the fruit bowl of Himachal Pradesh. It
is a small village located amidst magnificent
apple orchards in Shimla District. Tani-Jubbar
Lake, Hattu Peak, St Mary’s Church
(built in 1872), and a stone temple named
Parmjyotir built in the Pahari style
are the prime specialties.
Kotgarh : Kotgarh,
a town on the Hindustan-Tibet Road,
is a scenic place acknowledged as the
apple heartland of Himachal Pradesh.
Located 82 km north-east of Shimla,
it is famous for its delicious apples
and acres of apple orchards.The seeds
of appetizing apples were first sown
here by Satyanand Stokes, an American
missionary. He pioneered the apple
cultivation revolution in Himachal,
and today these apples are transported
from here to throughout the country.
