Shikhru Devta Temple : Shikhru
Devta Temple is a beautiful temple located
in the heart of the town of Rohru, 115
km from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. The
deity of this temple is Shikhru Devta,
who is deeply respected by the villagers.
An annual fair is held here in the month
of April every year and is a time of merriment
to all the villagers.
Chirgaon : Famous for
trout fishing, Chirgaon village lies
in Rohru taluk of Shimla District and
the town of Rohru is 15 km northeast.
Some of the great spots for fishing in
the area are Seema, Mandi, Sandhsu, Tikri
and Dhamari. Larot, nearby, is a base
for trekking to Dodra kwar, Bapsa Valley
( Sangla), and the Pabber Valley.
Jubbal : 90 km from
Shimla and 20 km from Hatkoti. Once held
the ruling seat of the princely State,
Jubbal has superbly maintained Palace
which was designed by a french architect
in the 1930 and is remarkable mix of
european and indigenous styles. This
Place is also famous for delicious apples
orchards.
Hatkoti : Hatkoti, at an altitude
of 1,100 m, is a scenic village on the
banks of Pabbar River in Shimla (104
km away). Sanctified with a number of
temples, it derived its name from Goddess
Hateshwari, who is believed to be the
embodiment of Lord Shiva.
