Masoor Rockcut Temple,Kangra
It is 47 Km from Dharamshala and has the holy shrine in North India carved out of live rock. It is 160 Ft long and 105 ft wide temple dedicated to Ram, Laxman and Sita.Fifteen richly carved monolithic rock temples sculpted in the splendid style of the Kailash temple at Ellora and dating back to the 8th century are to be found at Masrur, just 15 km south of Kangra. Images of Ram Sita and Lakhsman can be found in the sanctum of the main temple.

Maharana Partap Sarovar
(Pong Dam): It is 55 km from Dharamshala and has a reservoir where fishing and water sports facilities are available.

Trilokpur: It is 41 Km from Dharamshala and has a cave temple with stalactite and stalagmite formations dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Haripur: It is 55 Km from Dharamshala via Ranital. An isolated place with a Rest House on one corner of a big, open ground. A small bazaar fulfils the daily requirements.

Jawalamukhi: It is 53 Km from Dharamshala. It is one of the Shaktipeeths. The goddess is manifest here as tiny blue flames and worshiped as such. There is a musical fountain here which is a pleasure to watch during nights.

Pragpur: It is 65 Km from Dharamsala. It has been notified as ‘Heritage village’ because of the ancient rural beauty and architecture that it has.

How to get there


By Train: Nearest railway station is Pathankot for broad gauge trains and there is also a narrow gauge train in Kangra district for which the railway station is Nagrota Bagwan.

By Air: Nearest Airport is Gaggal which is connected with New Delhi and Chandigarh by Indian Airlines Flight.

By Road: 18 km south of Yol and 4 km north of Balta. Regular Bus and Taxi services are available from Delhi and Chandigarh.

Chamunda Devi : Not so far from the town is the famous temple with majestic Dhauladhars
as a backdrop. It is an enchanting spot with glorious views of the mountains, the Baner Khud, Pathiar and Lahala forests.

Baijnath : Here is a thirteenth century temple of Lord shiv. the graceful proportion
