Minjar Fair

Among the monsoon festivals one of the most colorful ones is Minjar. Minjar Fair is of cultural and historical importance and holds the status of a National Fair. One can get a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh in this traditional fair. Belief has it that the people of Chamba worshipped lord Varuna for a Good maize crop, and that's how this fair originated.2nd Sunday of Sawan month & culminating on 3rd Sunday July/August Main Attraction: Exhibition of Traditional crafts and Cultural programmes Most prominent, peculiar & popular fair of Chamba which is celebrated in the memory of victory of Raja of Chamba over Raja of Kangra

Shravan Ashtami Fair, held in the month of July / August, At ancient Durga Temples-Chamunda, Naina Devi ji, Bajreshwari and Jawala ji, in Himachal Pradesh.

It is locally known as Mata-Da-Mela. Large number of pilgrims visits the temples to seek the blessings of the Goddess and the Worship of Goddess Durga.

From 4th to 27th July 2007 Pilgrimage to Tso Pema, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh Celebrating the 800 Years of Legacy Long life prayers for His Holiness Eight hundred years ago in 1207 the Drukpa lineage of the Ultimate Meaning’ was founded by Tsanga Gyare, the 1st Gyalwang Drukpa.
