Shimla Summer festival has always been marked as one of the most important attractions for tourists along with the home town people.
Organized by the Shimla Administration Officials, Summer Festival is celebrated with pomp and grandeur in the month of May-June every year. The festival observes various cultural performances given by the regional artists along with folk performances by the various Schools of Himachal Pradesh.
Major attractions of the festival includes Star Nights, Himachal Food Fest, Painting competitions, Roller skating competition,Fashion Shows, Flower Shows, Himachali Handicrafts exhibitions etc
The Shimla summer festival is organized at the Ridge Shimla along with certain events being organized at the major tourism destinations of Kufri and Naldehra.
The Summer Festival gives a picture of the rich tradition of Himachal and provides with all the required legacies for the global tourists to come and enjoy in the cool and serene atmosphere of the Himachal Hills.

 
 
 
Dungri Fair, Manali :
Dungri Fair celebrated in the month of May in Manali - The Valley of Gods is yet another colorful event also known as Hadimba Devi Fair.The fair is held near the Hadimba Temple which signifies age old tradition right from the times of Mahabharata.

Celebrated to mark the advent of spring, the fair forms a major attraction for the tourists for three consecutive days providing a host of activities to enjoy the enchanting valley at its natural best and pay homage to the local deities.
 
 
     
     
 
 
 


Naldehra is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world. Lord Curzon, the then Viceroy of India (1899-1904), discovered Naldehra, set under a thick mane of Himalayan cedar-deodar trees. The Naldehra spur is an offshoot of the Kufri massif which is the highest in the Shimla area situated at a height of 2044 mts above sea level.

Parashar Mela : A traditional Fair held in the century old temple Parashar .The pagoda-style temple stands in the little green hollow around the Prashar lake, above the town of Pandoh. The fair is one of the major attractions for the foreign tourist as Prashar lake provides with one of the most exciting treks for the adventure lovers.
 
 
Shoolini Fair : Shoolini fair held in the honor of Goddess Shoolini ,reigning deity of the Solan region and is marked as one of the historic events in Himachal.One can get a closer look at the radiant Himachali culture in this 2 day long carnival with folk dances, songs and trading of locally manufactured products etc.
