Angling & Fishing In Himachal Pradesh
 
 
Himalayas abound in some beautiful rivers and streams. Trout fishing is an active physical sport, one has to walk along the banks of rivers. During the fishing one has to stay in the camps amongst the nature. The Kullu valley has numerous places for trout fishing. These include Katrain, Raison, Kasol and Naggar, then along the river Tirthan near Lad, in the Sainj Valley and in the Hurla kund.

a place located at a distance of34 km from Kullu is an ideal trout angling spot on river Tirthan. Himachal Government has specifically declared as an angling reserve.

Holi- The Colour Festival in Devbhumi Himachal
 
A fair is organized in Sujanpur from 1st to 4th march on Holi which dates back to the time of King Sansar Chand. This fair has been declared as a state festival by the Himachal government. Kullu Holi is marked by mixing snow with colors- making it an 'Ice-Holi'. The interesting fact to mark about Holi in Himachal Pradesh is that thousands gather at the holy shrine of Ponta Sahib in Sirmour district on the banks of Yamuna.
