Dear Friends.
News Bytes !!!

Known
more for its picturesque settings than sporting activity,
the century-old nine-hole golfing glade at Naldehra will
soon be upgraded into a golf course of international standard.
The state has been trying to have a full-fledged golfing field
for the past more than a decade to take advantage of the increasing
popularity of the sports to promote high- end tourism. Over the
past two decades, several proposals were initiated but not pursued
seriously. In fact two such proposals to develop golf courses
at Baddi and Kulu in the private sector are still under consideration.
The century-old golf course at
Naldehra is all set for a facelift.

When was the last time you watched quietly, say
for thirty minutes, the glorious sight of the evening sun melting
away behind a wavy hill-range? Those changing hues, the twittering
birds? A serenity, a sublime feeling all of its own? Probably
not in recent times - unless your balcony is so positioned,
or you were so situated at that time purely by chance. Probably,
you have not even walked a mile or two in recent months specially
to enjoy the generous offerings of nature here.

Himachal
helicopter skiing has been in business for 15 years, launched
by Roddy Mackenzie, an Everest-veteran, the first to spot
Manali’s terrain and verticals for world-class slopes,
with excellent powder skiing beneath sunny blue skies. Helicopters
cut out ski lifts, saving skiers the arduous task of climbing
and the monotony of the same location, while reducing the
impact on slopes. Guests enjoy the luxurious chalets after
the excitement of the day, apart from village walks, visits
to ancient monasteries and temples and fishing too, says
the manager.
Tagged at $7000 per person, per week. Most likely to bump into
Sports writers and skiing teams from the world.
