Hamirpur / Sujanpur Tira
Here lived Sansar Chand II who is known more as the patron of miniature Pahari paintings than the warrior king who fought battles. The fortified palace of Tira that overlooks the town of Sujanpur is the remnant of history. The ‘Barahdari Hall’ where Sansar Chand used to hold court, the temple of chamunda Devi within the fort all is there in shape or out of it. The Gauri Shankar temple nearby has some exquisite frescos that cover the walls and ceilings.

Narbadeshwar temple, a splendid structure, was got built in 1802 by Sansar Chand’s wife Prasanna Devi.Paintings showing the themes of love between Radha and Krishna and Shiv and Parvati have been drawn here with artistic fingers. Sansar Chand got built Murli Manohar temple near the chowgan in memory of his mother. Other temples are the ones dedicated to Lord Ganesh and Lakshmi Narayan.
